Overview of the Role:

About The Position

The Senior Technical Support Specialist is responsible for ensuring seamless technical support to developers and enterprises using OpenAI models. This role involves providing expert guidance, resolving complex issues, and supporting customers in maximizing value from deploying our highly-capable models.

We are seeking a skilled professional to collaborate directly with our strategic enterprise accounts, helping solve challenging problems faced by our Customers. You will be part of the top technical troubleshooting team at OpenAI, providing guidance on complex issues.

This position requires strong problem-solving skills, expertise in software development, and the ability to build relationships with customer leaders to ensure their application's success.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the dedicated technical resource and advocate for key API customers, providing deep troubleshooting and education on our platforms.
  • Become a leading technical and troubleshooting expert for our API platform, acting as the last line of defense before engineering.
  • Partner with engineering and customer teams to resolve issues, engaging with senior leaders and coordinating resources across teams.
Key Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • 5+ years in technical support or software engineering, preferably in fast-paced tech startups.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with experience building and shipping prototypes on our API platform.
  • Proven experience building strong customer and cross-functional relationships.
