Job Title: Healthcare Scientist Assistant

Job Overview:

This role involves working as an integral member of a Laboratory team, providing support and assistance across various laboratory disciplines.

The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving, sorting, and prioritizing samples arriving at the Specimen Reception area, ensuring efficient processing and delivery to the appropriate teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Prepare samples for analysis, following strict protocols and procedures.
  2. Enter and check patient request information onto the laboratory computer system, maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  3. Identify and deal with problem samples, referring to senior staff if necessary.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 5 GCSEs, including Science, Maths, and English at grade C or higher.
