Key Job Responsibilities

This role entails working as part of a dynamic sales team in the Dublin region, driving commercial new business growth. Key responsibilities include focusing on company-driven sales campaigns with the new business and existing teams while generating larger-type commercial new business leads for conversion.

Geographical Location: Dublin Region

Reports To: Regional Director

Key Internal Relationships:

Managing Directors, Regional Directors, Regional Managers, Regional Business Managers, Account Directors, Account Executives, other business units, Business Enablement Teams.

Key External Relationships:

Clients, Insurance companies, other parties.

Sales & Activity Management
  • Seek, quote and convert quotations for new commercial clients.
  • Assist in achieving overall New Business objectives of Commercial Lines teams in the Dublin region.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to discuss pipeline and new business strategy.
  • Comply with all relevant compliance legislation and ensure agreed processes are followed.
  • Manage aged debt and premium collection.
  • Comply with all Management Audit Requirements.
  • Meet income acquisition and referral targets set.
  • Maintain an excellent team work ethic.
Customer Relationship Management
  • Build long-term trusted relationships with customers through understanding their needs and being a true partner.
  • Enable customers to make informed decisions through sharing best advice and knowledge.
Customer Service
  • Provide professional, action-orientated and timely service to customers, staff and management.
  • Put customers at the heart of everything done aiming to delight them during every interaction to build loyalty.
  • Portray a professional image to exceed customer service standards.
  • Take personal responsibility for delivering highest level of accuracy and quality in work.
Team Collaboration
  • Work closely with Managing Directors and Regional Directors within large regional team.
  • Working with team to develop new business pipeline and deliver best results.
  • Assist in achieving overall objectives of Commercial Lines New Business and Commercial Lines Teams.
Compliance
  • Work with Commercial Teams Regional Directors and Compliance Teams ensuring quality of file records meets prescribed standards.
Requirements
  • CIP qualified as minimum and preferably studying towards ACII.
  • Compliant with Central Bank's Minimum Competency Code and Fitness & Probity.
  • Previous experience in area of New Business Development with excellent technical and product knowledge.
  • Experienced in building strong working relationships with clients insurers and colleagues.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development quick learning capabilities and aptitude for understanding variable elements of insurance products.
  • Ability to deal with and convert larger more complex commercial risks into clients.
  • Excellent communication skills and strong client relationship background essential.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and understanding how best to negotiate between price and risk.
  • Possess positive can-do attitude ability to adapt to and embrace change and adapt to unforeseen events.
  • Motivated self-starter who will work on own initiative and appreciate regulatory nature of business.
  • Demonstrate ability to work in team environment with high level of energy and attention to detail.
  • Strong IT and organisational skills.
