Vision Ireland Group Business Development Manager Contracted hours:37 hours per week.
Contract Type: Full time, permanent position.
Salary: €60,000 - €65,000 depending on experience Location:Drumcondra, Co Dublin.
This role involves a combination of on-site duties as well as tasks performed in various external settings as required.
Closing date: 21st March 2025 Role Overview: The Business Development Manager will play a crucial role in developing and fostering meaningful connections between Vision Ireland and a diverse range of stakeholders.
The Business Development Manager will partner with Vision Ireland's internal stakeholders to lead and generate new business, organise and attend events to generate new partnerships and promote Vision Irelands services as a whole.
The successful candidate will be passionate about social change regarding accessibility, can navigate complex project work and holds the ability to operate in a politically sensitive, fast-growing, and rapidly changing environment.

We are a not-for-profit charitable organisation which provides support and services nationwide to people experiencing sight loss.
We provide a variety of services to support and improve accessibility to people who are living with sight loss ranging from emotional support and counselling to employment support and rehabilitation training.

Through this role the ideal candidate will be able to harness and build these relationships.
The Wayfinding Centre Vision Irelands groundbreaking new service The Wayfinding Centre is an immersive, user-friendly transport training environment that aims to facilitate safer and more inclusive journeys in Ireland.
The centre prioritises the provision of travel training programs designed to help those with access requirements and disabilities build the skills and confidence to navigate public transport safely and easily.
A first of its kind, the centre also provides a diverse suite of learning opportunities including disability equality and awareness training, inclusive design workshops and hosting transport accessibility projects with transport, urban realm and academic stakeholders to help address the transport accessibility gap.
The Vision Van Vision Irelands Vision Van was launched in 2024.
Championing good eye health and promoting preventative strategies, the vision van travels nationwide to meet people in the community,spreading awareness and educating individuals on eye health.
Key Responsibilities: Plan and execute community engagement projects and events, collecting insights to inform effective project planning and decision-making.
Analyse engagement outcomes to present findings and recommendations for further actions.
Lead and generate new business for the wider Vision Ireland organisation including the Vision Van, The Wayfinding Centre and other aspect of the organisiation.
Be responsible for the full business development, across all our services and other areas of Vision Ireland including a large portion of time with The Wayfinding Centre and cross selling partnership with businesses to explore the depth of opportunity Selling to and/or influencing C-level executives Identify and create new referral partners to generate new clients across the group Above responsibilities reflect the current service requirements and may be subject to amendment to meet the changing needs of the service.
Selection Criteria Skills and experience Minimum 3-5 years experience in Business Development Role Understanding of the role BDs play in the lead generation context Proactive and continuous improvement mindset, particularly when it comes to rapidly evolving processes and structures Full driving licence and willingness to travel nationwide as required Proven track record of revenue directions Experience selling to and/or influencing C-level executives Proven experience growing or scaling a companys customer base Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills Experience and understanding of disability supports is a distinct advantage Experience working withing a start-up environment an advantage Behavioural Competencies Strong influencing and diplomacy skills Appetite to move forward quickly in an organisation that is scaling fast Ability to prioritise workload and manage time effectively Highly data driven, analytical and structured Manage external relationships with good emotional intelligence Strong commercial awareness and business-oriented mindset Strong focus on delivering high quality customer service Ability to engage with people who have disabilities, reduced mobility and/or cultural and individual differences Awareness of the disability sector and willingness to upskill within relevant knowledge areas Education & Qualifications Degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or discipline related to this position Evidence of continuous professional development Garda Vetting Required Garda Vetting will be conducted for the recommended candidate as part of the selection process for the post in accordance with the Vision Ireland Garda Vetting policy.
