Project Engineer Role

A leading contractor is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join their team on a major residential development project in Southwest Dublin.

About the Job

  • Liaise with Project Managers and Senior Management on large-scale residential and commercial projects.
  • Manage day-to-day engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Review and interpret all drawings and specifications, reporting errors/omissions to the design team promptly.
  • Monitor construction quality, workmanship, and materials, recording information on the document control system.
  • Ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, building regulations, and statutory requirements.
  • Assist with Health & Safety and quality management on site.
  • Take responsibility for setting out works and liaising with subcontractors.
  • Maintain accurate site records (including site diary) and assist the commercial team with labour and material allocations.
  • Liaise with Clients and Design Teams as required.

Key Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience as a No. 1 Engineer on large-scale residential and commercial projects.
  • Full Irish Driving Licence.
  • Strong IT skills with proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and experience using construction document control systems.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong work ethic with a team-focused approach.
  • Proven track record of successful project delivery.
