Job Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned Financial Coordinator to join our team in East Galway.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional with strong administration and supervisory skills, particularly in payroll, reporting, and team management.

The successful candidate will contribute to the smooth operation of our finance section, working in a fast-paced environment and leading a small team of administrative staff.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and allocate daily work to administrative staff to ensure timely completion of tasks
  • Oversee payroll processing and reporting functions
  • Manage employee travel and subsistence claims and payment processing
  • Ensure all documentation is properly authorised, retained, and compliant with data protection regulations
  • Prepare time reports and other key performance indicators for senior management
  • Liaise with internal teams, auditors, and external stakeholders as needed
  • Develop and implement finance-related policies and procedures
  • Provide financial analysis and support to senior management
  • Contribute to team development and resource planning
  • Promote best practices and compliance with company policies

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a finance or payroll administration role
  • Strong knowledge of payroll and expense systems
  • Experience leading or supervising small teams
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and compliance
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
