
Front Desk Ambassador

We are seeking a professional and motivated Hotel Receptionist to join our Front Office Team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome guests on arrival and manage check-in/check-out procedures with accuracy and efficiency.
- Handle phone calls, emails, and guest enquiries in a prompt and courteous manner.
- Resolve guest issues, feedback, or complaints in a fair and effective way.
- Ensure all email queries are followed up and delegated tasks are completed in a timely manner.
- Maintain high standards during busy arrival and departure periods, ensuring a seamless guest experience.
- Drive sales opportunities and deliver exceptional service at the front desk, meeting and exceeding customer expectations.
- Manage emergencies, including responsibility for the Hotel Fire Panel during your shift, prioritizing safety and security.
- Liaise with other departments, sister hotels, and central office teams to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
- Manage billing, invoicing, and financial transactions accurately, maintaining confidentiality and discretion.
- Receive or redirect deliveries and manage front desk correspondence, ensuring timely and efficient processing.
- Monitor compliance with Covid guidelines and hotel policies, promoting a safe and healthy work environment.
- Support management strategies for guest reviews and feedback, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes.
- Report and follow up on maintenance issues to ensure timely resolution, minimizing disruptions and inconvenience.
- Attend Front Office meetings as required, contributing to the development and implementation of departmental goals and objectives.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as directed by the Front Office Manager, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
To be successful as a Hotel Receptionist, you will need:
- A minimum 1 year's experience in a hotel reception role, with a proven track record of providing excellent customer service.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with guests, colleagues, and external partners.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and remain calm under pressure, managing multiple tasks and responsibilities simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in IT systems and administrative software.
- Well-organized with keen attention to detail, maintaining accurate records and reports.
- Fluent English language skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and colleagues.
- A proactive team player with flexibility to work shifts (3 over 7 days), demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and collaboration.
