The Construction Industry Federation (CIF) is the voice of the Irish Construction Industry. CIF is a member led representative organisation, providing a broad range of services that help our members in navigating the political, business, economic and regulatory environment.

With the aim of strengthening its services to colleagues and members, the CIF is seeking to recruit an experienced Administrator in Corporate Affairs.

The Learning & Development Department

The Learning & Development Department is positioned within the CIF to support our members' training needs. While we provide training to external non-CIF members our focus is on developing programmes to support the future requirements of the membership.

The CIF is seeking to recruit an Administrator in Learning & Development to join the team. This position will suit an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual with excellent organisational skills and an ability to meet demanding deadlines.

Reporting to the Head of Learning & Development, this position is essential to the success of the team and offers a genuine opportunity for a professional and energetic administrator to make an impact on the construction industry.

About The Role

This role is primarily based in the Dublin office. The role will benefit from our remote working policy. As the key contact point for Members seeking information and advice on assessing CIF training programmes, this individual will ensure the maintenance of IOSH accredited programmes and support the rollout of new products and services. The role will also involve providing professional support and guidance to the CIF's regional teams and other related CIF service departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Head of Learning & Development in daily administration of programmes
  • Management of invoicing and assisting in aged debtor's processes
  • Act as a point of contact for CIF members to provide our membership with information on CIF Learning & Development /or our other CIF services as required
  • Ensure efficient booking administration of all sales for the CIF programmes
  • Critical control of training Classroom / Virtual venues and tutor diary control for all training on the calendar
  • Work with the current team to ensure a strong consistent communication within the CIF membership
  • Day-to-day operational issues within the L&D Department include handling of telephone enquiries, general correspondence, taking booking via Integra system, photocopying, processing of certificates and cards etc. relating to CIF programmes
  • Coordinate, assist or attend CIF L&D meetings, as required
  • Deal directly with accredited bodies about certification and audit process. (City & Guilds & IOSH)
  • Update and maintenance of the CIF website and content via WordPress platform
  • Set up and monitor CIF Courses via Zoom, Microsoft Teams and an ability to set up meetings and webinars on the platforms
  • Ability to use social media platforms such as LinkedIn and Instagram for business purposes
  • Ability to use marketing platforms such as Canva
  • Carry out any other reasonable relevant task as may be requested by the CIF Head of Learning & Development
About The Person
  • Third level qualification in Business or Learning & Development would be an advantage
  • Minimum 3 – 5 years administration experience, preferably in Learning & Development
  • Experience in working with certified programmes would be an advantage
  • Excellent I.T. skills, to include Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and online systems experience
  • Excellent report writing and analytical skills
  • High level of organisational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and team working skills
  • A proven ability to adhere to strict deadlines
