The Role

We are seeking a skilled Car Rental Relationship Manager to join our team. This role is responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with independent suppliers, driving commercial performance, improving supply quality, and unlocking long-term growth opportunities.

This position requires exceptional relationship-building skills, a proactive approach, and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. The successful candidate will have a strong sense of ownership and accountability, with a focus on delivering results-oriented outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and leverage strong supplier partnerships to drive commercial performance and improve supply quality.
  • Represent the company at tradeshows, conferences, and strategic in-person meetings to foster collaboration and alignment on shared goals.
  • Support independent suppliers by helping them make effective supply and pricing decisions to maximise revenue and profitability for both the supplier and the company.
  • Account manage the Independent Supply inbox, taking overall responsibility for all aspects of each supplier's brand and content.
  • Demonstrate commercial awareness in all supplier interactions, identifying opportunities to enhance revenue and profitability for both the supplier and the company.
  • Proactively contribute innovative ideas and approaches to improve commercial outcomes, including supply optimisation, pricing strategies, and promotional opportunities.
  • Ensure rates and supply content are competitive and support a market-leading customer proposition.
  • Work closely with the Corporate Supply team to negotiate optimal annual rebate structures and explore incremental commercial opportunities.
  • Maintain optimal availability and competitive rates across the independent supplier base at all times.
  • Drive an improved customer experience by providing suppliers with actionable insights that elevate their performance.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 3+ years relevant experience in a similar account management role, ideally within an industry where strategic supplier or client partnerships are critical to business success.
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills, with the ability to develop trust-based, long-term partnerships with key stakeholders.
  • Highly self-directed and motivated, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Strong analytical mindset and high level of numeracy, with the ability to interpret data, extract insights, and translate them into actionable plans.
  • Confident and effective negotiator with the ability to secure mutually beneficial commercial agreements.
