Job Title: Community Support Specialist

  • A proven track record in delivering person-centred systems, services and supports and awareness of positive behaviour supports is required.

We are seeking candidates with excellent knowledge and understanding of relevant Health Act Regulations, HIQA Standards and all other relevant legislation to support individuals with intellectual disabilities in their daily lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To work with individuals who have an intellectual disability, providing support and assistance as needed.
  • To maintain a safe and respectful environment, promoting independence and community integration.
  • To facilitate independent living and provide support with daily tasks, such as personal care and household management.
  • To assist with communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution.

Candidates should possess excellent communication, interpersonal, administrative, and coordination skills, as well as the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Requirements:

  • A minimum Level 7 qualification in Applied Social Studies or a related field is essential.
  • Fully manual driving license is mandatory for this role.
