Business Development Manager

This leading hotel group is seeking a proactive Business Development Manager to source and win new local and global business for the cluster, collaborating with senior sales management to ensure that objectives are achieved in the Sales business plan.

  • Represent the hotels at sales team meetings, internal & external customer-led events as appropriate.
  • Develop and nurture new accounts across all owned segments for the hotels.
  • Identify and manage new opportunities in the market in line with hotels' strategy and across the wider group portfolio.
  • Collaborate with the Account Management Team to secure new opportunities.
  • Foster a culture of cross-selling, referrals, and sharing of leads.
  • Achieve strategic revenue growth and cost reduction.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct telesales, sales calls, corporate entertaining, fam trips, social events, and overseas sales trips as necessary.
  2. Work with senior sales management on rate strategy, budget planning, forecasting for owned segments, and identifying & analysing opportunities.
  3. Monitor monthly corporate account production, identify decreases, and take necessary actions.
  4. Analyse GDS production reports & market intelligence to develop new leads in collaboration with senior sales management.
  5. Produce timely monthly & ad hoc reports.
  6. Implement actions from quarterly sales activity plans to support business needs.
Requirements:
  • Minimum two years' experience in a similar hotel sales role.
  • Commercial awareness with strong analytical skills to understand & identify business trends.
  • Excellent organisation and planning skills.
  • Proficiency with sales tools such as CRM, BI tools, Market Intelligence tools.
  • Results-driven and sales-focused.
  • Ability to develop long-lasting relationships through account management and promote cross-selling across the group.
  • Experience working with global clients & agencies.
