Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Desktop Support Specialist. This role involves providing technical assistance and support to end-users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and maintaining accurate records of incident progress and resolution.

This is a full-time position that requires strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.

The successful candidate will possess a solid understanding of IT business technologies, including networks, servers, operating systems, and major software applications. They will also have experience working in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks effectively, and meeting deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in-person.

  • Maintain accurate records of incident progress and resolution, including detailed notes and follow-up actions.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve complex technical issues and improve overall service quality.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends, applying new knowledge and skills to enhance job performance.

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • At least 1 year's experience in a technical support role, preferably in an IT department.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and identify effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and meet deadlines.
  • Good judgment, with the ability to maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information.
