Bodyshop Administrator/Assessor

Northgate Ireland has been supplying and managing vehicles for businesses across Ireland for over 20 years.
We continue to grow and dominate the light commercial vehicle market with depots in Dublin, Cork, Limerick, and Galway.
Our expanding network and sizeable fleet allow us to deliver vehicles to customers faster than any other light commercial vehicle supplier, while minimizing downtime to keep vehicles on the road longer.
Our fleet includes light commercial vehicles from leading manufacturers like Mercedes Benz, Ford, Opel, Renault, Volkswagen, and Peugeot.
Due to our growth, we have a full-time vacancy within our Bodyshop team in Dublin.
This role is ideal for someone with relevant experience in a similar position.
Role Overview
Responsible for processing all damages (in life & end of life) requiring Bodyshop assessment & repair, ensuring vehicle downtime aligns with KPIs, and maintaining less than 2% of the Dublin fleet in Bodyshop at any time.
Key Responsibilities
Capture additional images of damaged vehicles for damage packs
Upload damage packs to shared drives
Perform quality checks on vehicles returning from repairs
Notify Workshop Manager of QC outcomes for repair acceptance or failure
Manage and monitor vehicles in Bodyshop
Handle documentation requests and ensure completeness of damage packs
Serve as contact point for Service Department and other departments for queries
Provide training support to satellite branches as needed
Liaise with Asset Department regarding vehicle collection/movements
Ensure timely job card creation and update CAP accordingly
Update customers on repair progress
Correspond via email and letters as needed
Communicate daily with external Bodyshop
Conduct weekly and monthly fleet audit reports
Maintain filing systems

Person Specification - Education & Training
Leaving Certificate including Maths & English or equivalent
Basic knowledge of vehicle panels and maintenance
Experience in a Bodyshop environment
Proven customer service skills and relationship building
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work under pressure with a strong work ethic
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Organized, self-motivated, and administrative skills
Enthusiastic with a positive attitude
Team player adaptable to change
Experience in vehicle rental or motor industry preferred
Experience in warranty, workshop, or body shop desirable
Suitable for an apprentice mechanic or panel beater interested in administrative roles
What We Offer
Competitive salary of €30,000 DOE per annum, pro-rata, plus:
