Bodyshop Administrator/Assessor

Northgate Ireland has been supplying and managing vehicles for businesses across Ireland for over 20 years.
We continue to grow and dominate the light commercial vehicle market with depots in Dublin, Cork, Limerick, and Galway.
Our expanding network of branches and sizeable fleet enable us to deliver vehicles faster than any other light commercial vehicle supplier, minimizing downtime and keeping vehicles on the road longer.
Our fleet includes light commercial vehicles from leading manufacturers such as Mercedes Benz, Ford, Opel, Renault, Volkswagen, and Peugeot.
Due to our growth, we have a full-time vacancy within our Bodyshop team at our Dublin branch.
This role is ideal for someone with similar experience in a previous role.
Role Overview
Responsible for processing all damages requiring Bodyshop assessment and repair, ensuring vehicle downtime aligns with KPIs, and maintaining no more than 2% of the Dublin fleet in Bodyshop at any time.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Capture additional images of damaged vehicles for damage packs
Upload damage packs to shared drives
Perform quality checks on vehicles returning from repairs
Communicate QC outcomes to Workshop Manager
Manage and monitor vehicles in the Bodyshop
Manage damage packs to meet documentation requests
Act as the point of contact for Service Department and other departments
Provide training support to satellite branches as needed
Liaise with Asset Department for vehicle movements
Ensure timely job card creation and update CAP accordingly
Update customers on repair progress
Handle correspondence via email and letters
Communicate daily with external Bodyshops
Conduct weekly and monthly fleet audits
Maintain filing systems

Person Specification - Education, Qualifications, and Training
Leaving Certificate including Maths & English or equivalent
Basic knowledge of vehicle panels and maintenance
Experience in a Bodyshop environment
Proven customer service skills and relationship-building ability
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work under pressure
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Organized, self-motivated, and administrative skills
Positive attitude and team-oriented
Experience in vehicle rental or the motor industry preferred
Experience in warranty, Bodyshop, or workshop roles desirable
Suitable for apprentices or those seeking behind-the-scenes roles
What We Offer
Competitive salary of €30,000 DOE per annum, pro-rata, plus:
