Job Title: Key Account Business Developer

About the Role

This position is responsible for developing significant new business within a dedicated geographical area through approved sales initiatives. Proactive lead generation, fostering long-term strategic alliances, maintaining and growing a robust sales pipeline, and managing large-scale contract negotiations are key responsibilities.

  • Proactive development of new business opportunities and management of company-generated opportunities.
  • Management and development of existing customers through their lifecycle.
  • Develop long-term strategic alliances that deliver bottom-line profit for the business.
  • Self-generated leads every week through cold calling, networking, and other appropriate means.
  • Effectively manage all prospects and existing customers through contract negotiations to deliver targets and maintain margins.
  • Develop and execute a sales plan that meets or exceeds established sales goals and supports company targets.
  • Keep contractual paperwork, systems, and reporting data up-to-date and accurate.
  • Liaise and collaborate with Marketing to ensure sufficient leads are being generated to delivery targets and plan campaigns in advance.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in B2B Business Development, industry experience desirable. Ability to understand and interpret KPIs, understanding and training in sales and business development functions, experience in writing up proposals and implementing strategies from concept to completion, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to manage and prioritize a heavy workload with strong organizational ability.
